  • Walk-ins are always welcome. Come in, see what's on, and pick what takes your fancy. For celebration cakes, croquembouche, or larger orders of 30 pieces or more, we recommend pre-ordering to guarantee availability.

  • We're a takeaway patisserie with limited seating. We have two tables with two chairs, and 8 stools outside. We recommend treating us as a grab-and-go experience — pick up something and enjoy it at the nearby park or at home.

  • We keep it simple and we keep it good. We offer long black and a selection of teas via our Moccamaster, plus fresh in-house pressed juices and a few other drinks available in store.

  • We accept all major credit and debit cards, contactless payments, and cash.

OUR PRODUCTS
  • Each day we offer 5 signature éclairs: Chocolate Hazelnut, Apple Crumble, Salted Caramel, Tiramisu, and Lemon + 1 rotating special that changes every week. Popular flavours do sell out, so we recommend coming in the morning for the full range.

  • Alongside our éclairs, we always have profiteroles, craquelins, individual tarts, one gluten-free option, large tarts and cakes. Our chef also creates daily specials think Basque cheesecake or vanilla slice, depending on the day. We can't promise the full range will be there when you visit, so follow us on Instagram @eclair.at.the.bay for the latest.

  • We always have at least one gluten-free product available in store. Please note our éclairs and croquembouche are not available gluten-free. Our kitchen handles gluten, nuts, dairy, and eggs daily, we are not a gluten-free or allergen-free facility.

  • We don't currently offer vegan products.

  • Our products are not halal-certified. We do have some vegetarian options that don't contain gelatine please ask our team in store.

  • Keep everything refrigerated as soon as possible. Leaving cream-filled pastries at room temperature for extended periods will affect both taste and texture.

  • We always recommend enjoying our pastries fresh on the day.

    That said, if you need to store them: Éclairs and Profiteroles: up to 2–3 days in the fridge. Craquelins: up to 2 days. Tarts: up to 2 days. Mousse Cakes up to 3 days.

    Keep everything refrigerated and out of direct sunlight. The sooner the better, always.

  • We take allergies seriously. Our products contain or may come into contact with gluten, nuts, dairy, and eggs. Full ingredient information is available in store please ask a member of our team before ordering. It is the responsibility of the customer to inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements prior to purchase. Eclair at the Bay cannot be held responsible for allergic reactions arising from undisclosed allergies or from ingredients clearly listed in our products.

PRE-ORDERS & ONLINE ORDERS
  • You can pre-order online via our website or in store. For event and large orders, fill out our inquiry form or reach out at events@eclairatthebay.com

  • We don't take orders over the phone. The easiest way is to pre-order directly online or send your inquiry to events@eclairatthebay.com — we'll get back to you within 24 hours.

  • Mini Éclairs, Tarts, Profiteroles: minimum 48 hours notice.
    Croquembouche and XL Cakes: minimum 7 days notice, subject to availability.

  • Mini Éclairs: minimum 25 per flavour.
    Profiteroles: minimum 20.
    We are not able to split quantities below the stated minimums.

  • Our team will try to reach you by phone during the day. We are not able to store uncollected orders once the day is over, and we are unable to offer a refund or store credit for orders that have not been collected.

  • Small adjustments may be possible depending on your order type and notice given. We ask that any changes are communicated at least 5 days before your event. Last-minute increases in quantity are subject to availability.

  • We're not always on top of our DMs, so please don't rely on social media for orders. Pre-order online or reach out at events@eclairatthebay.com to make sure nothing gets missed.

  • Our cakes follow a set menu developed around our standards of flavour and quality. We don't offer fully custom designs or flavours, but small personal touches; such as adapting the colour of edible flowers to suit your palette are something we're happy to accommodate.

  • Yes, payment is required in full at the time of ordering for all pre-orders. For events and weddings, different payment terms apply. Get in touch at events@eclairatthebay.com for details.

  • No. The Croquembouche is a delicate, made-to-order creation and must be prepared just a few hours before your event. Same-day pickup or delivery only.

  • No. It should be kept at room temperature in a cool, well-ventilated space away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. Do not refrigerate condensation will affect the toffee caramel and structure.

  • Yes. The XL Raspberry Chantilly Cake is filled with fresh Chantilly cream and must be kept refrigerated at all times. Plan your pickup or delivery time accordingly.

  • We don't write directly on the cake, but we can add a personalised chocolate plate with your message limited to 25 characters. Available for $8, simply select this option at checkout when placing your order.

  • Yes gift cards are available in store in $50, $100, and $125 denominations.

    A few things to note: gift cards are redeemable in store only and must be used in a single transaction.

    They are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded.

    Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced.

Events, Weddings & Corporate catering
  • Fill out the Event Inquiry form on our website with your date, guest count, and a few details about your celebration. Our team will get back to you within 24 hours. You're also welcome to reach us directly at events@eclairatthebay.com.

  • We offer Croquembouches, Mini Éclairs, Profiteroles, Tarts and XL Cakes for events and weddings. We also have a dedicated corporate catering menu available upon request, get in touch at events@eclairatthebay.com and we'll send it through with pricing tailored to your guest count.

  • We cater for events of all sizes from intimate gatherings to large weddings.

    Our Croquembouche ranges from 15 to 140 choux, and our Mini Éclairs can be ordered in any quantity above the 25 per flavour minimum. We also have cakes for 6 people.

  • The earlier the better. For peak season dates (October through March) we recommend reaching out at least 2–3 months in advance. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date.

  • Absolutely. To secure your date we require a $500 non-refundable deposit. Once that's in place, we'll work with you to finalise your menu as your plans come together.

  • Weddings and large events: a 50% deposit is required upfront, with the remaining balance due 1 month before your event.

    Smaller orders: payment is required in full at the time of ordering.

  • The $500 booking deposit is non-refundable. If your plans change, please reach out as soon as possible and we'll do our best to find a new date subject to availability.

  • Weddings and large events: if you cancel more than 1 month before your event, your 50% deposit is forfeited but no further payment is required. If you cancel within 1 month, the full amount is due.

    Smaller orders: all payments are non-refundable, however if you notify us at least 48 hours before pickup we'll issue a store credit.

  • Yes for Croquembouche (70 choux and above) and XL Cakes. Delivery fees are quoted based on your event location. All other orders are pickup only from our patisserie in Newstead.

  • Delivery covers transport of your order to your venue. Setup and styling is not included as standard. If you have specific setup requirements, mention this in your inquiry and we'll let you know what we can arrange.

  • Yes, if we're available on your date, our chef can travel to your location and prepare your Croquembouche on-site. Reach out with your details and we'll let you know what's possible.

  • Yes whether it's a product launch, end-of-year celebration, or client gifting, we can put together a dessert experience that feels considered and on-brand. Get in touch at events@eclairatthebay.com.
